AHEDIS Training – Zagreb: Moodle, Flipped Classroom and AI in Education

As part of the AHEDIS project, a five-day training programme will be organised at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, focusing on strengthening the digital and pedagogical competencies of teaching staff. The training is designed for educators involved in the project, with particular emphasis on the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS), the Flipped Classroom approach, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools into education.
The first day will introduce participants to Moodle functionalities, course management, and the development of interactive learning activities. The second day will focus on defining measurable learning outcomes using Bloom’s Taxonomy and aligning them with teaching activities and assessment methods. The third day will explore the Flipped Classroom methodology, enabling participants to design student-centred learning activities that encourage active participation and collaboration. The fourth day will cover the development of online assessments, question banks, and the use of AI tools to improve assessment quality. The final day will focus on the responsible integration of AI into teaching, including tools such as NotebookLM, as well as the creation of interactive video lectures using H5P.
Through a combination of theoretical sessions, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, participants will gain practical skills that can be directly applied to their teaching practices. The expected outcome is the development of structured digital courses and innovative teaching materials, contributing to the modernisation of educational practices and the improvement of teaching quality across AHEDIS partner institutions.
